TAURANGA HOSPITAL AREA.
INCLUSION OF KATIKATI. PETITION BY SETTLERS. [by telegraph.—own correspondent.] TAUKANGA, Friday. Reference was made at to-day s meeting of the Tauranga Hospital Board to a movement for tho inclusion of tho Katikati district in tho Waihi Hospital district. It was stated that a petition had been circulated in the Katikati Riding and signed by the settlers. It was decided to communicate with the Wailn Hospital Board and to ask what theii attitude was with regard to the proposal. Mr. 11. J. Gill, of Te Puke, forwarded a cheque for £336 8s 4d, the amount of a fund collected in the '.I e Puke district for hospital and charitable aid purposes, which has been standing in the names of A. Montgomery and H. J. Gill as trustees.
