Mr. and Mrs. G. Rosenbaum, of Wellington, are at the Grand Hotel. Mr. Allen Bell, of Kaitaia, Mr. A. Goodwin, of Wellington, and Mr. A. B. Cope, of Kaihere, are 'at tho Grand Hotel. Mr. W. D. Lysnar, M.P., accompanied by Mrs. Lysnar, is returning to New Zealand by the lonic, which is due at Auckland from Southampton on July 3. Mr. D'Arcy Newman Smith, ton, has been admitted a solicitor of the Supreme Court by Mr. Justice Herdman at Hamilton on the motion of Mr. J. F. Strang. Mr. A. H. Brown, of Cook Islands, Mr. D. S. Turner, of Melbourne, and Mr. W. H. Collings, Mr. J. Jones and Mr. G. S. Simpson, of Christchurch, are at the Royal Hotel. Mr. J. W. Benseman. of Rangitane, Te Awamutu, left by the Marama for Sydney yesterday with a consignment of stud Romneys for the Sydney Sheep Show and sales, which commence on July 1. Brigadier H. R. Potter, , commanding the Northern Command, Is still in King George V. Hospital. Rotorua, after his serious operation. He is making rapid progress toward recovery and is taking walking exercises in the grounds. Sir Alexander Herdman and Mr. Justice Blair will leave by express tomorrow evening for Wellington to take part in tho sittings of _ the Court of Appeal.
