CHILD LOST IN BUSH.
TWO HUNDRED SEARCHERS. A SUCCESSFUL QUEST. Tiie five-year-old daughter of Mr. snd Sirs. G. McGeary, who reside near Laurieton, Now South Wales, wandered away from her parents one morning, recently and became iost in some scrubby bush. Police and civilians searched for the greater part of the night, but failed to discover her.
A band numbering between 150 and 200 people combed the dense trash next day, and about mid-day tlio child was found about three miles from her home. She said she had seen the lamps of the searcners on the previous night, but being frightened hid herself. Though the night was bitterly cold she slept in the rushes. The child seemed to have suffered little from exposure, and beyond severe scratches was none the worse for-her experience.
