BAY OF ISLANDS CLUB. , RECORDS AND PRIZE-LIST. The following Bay of Islands records for ■ the season wore quoted at a meeting of (ho Bay of Islands Swordfish and Mako Shark Club February 15, thresher shark, 5951b., 11. Johnson; February 22, mako shark, 5041b., C. Alma Baker; February 24, black mariin, 3911b., Chas. ap Roger; February 19, swordfish, 3781b., Miss D. ap Roger; January 23, hammerhead shark, 3681b., V. Balfour-Browne. Special prizes were awarded as follows: —C.A.C. Cup, for heaviest mako, C. Alma Baker, 5041b.; Vice-President's Cup, heaviest big game fish caught by a New Zealand member of the club, E. C. Blomfield, mako shark, 4321b.; H. G. Bartleet : s Cup, for the heaviest black mariin, 3911b., Charles ap Roger; model Maori carved house, presented by A. Kqhn, Ltd., for tho launch, landing the heaviest fish during tho season, held by the Mariin, a thresher shark, 5951b.; Dr. Horton's trophy, for the smallest mako caught, 'Lord Hillingdon and Colonel C. A. K. Johnson, equal, weight 111b.; Mr. •A. E. Bisset's trophy, for tho heaviest kihgfish, Colonel F. B. Mabin, weight ißllb. ; Mr. P. S. Arnott's trophy, for tho heaviest swordfish caught by a member of tho club fishing from Deep Water Cove, F. 0. Smith and Gordon Durrant, equal, 3501b.
