WHEAT FOR EUROPE.
HIGHER IMPORT DUTIES.
Australian and N.Z. Press Association. LONDON. May 23. A message from Rome says the import duty on wheat and flour has been raised from 8s 4d to 10s 8d as from today. A telegram from Paris says a proposal has been introduced in the Chamber of Deputies to increase tho duties on imported wheat and to impose an embargo on the importation of foreign grain of iiiferior quality.
