POLIOE WATCH COLLEAGUES. PROHIBITION ENFORCEMENT. (Received May 23, 9.15 p.m.) fruited Service. NEW YORK, May 22. The New York Commissioner of Police, M)'. J. Whalen, lias appointed 100 special policemen whose duty it is to protect their brother officers from liquor. Many a tightly.hooked coat collar now circles a policeman's parched throat, for the city's 22.000 "speakeasies'' (resorts where liquor Can be obtained) arc "no man's land" to the force. Mr. Whalen has ordcicd a special supervisor in each precinct to keep an eye on policemen who are not prohibitionists*
