THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL.
The Governor-General, Sir Charles Fergusson, and Lady Alice Fergusson were the guests of tho Victoria League at the Empire ball last evening. His Excellency will attend the opeiiing of the new premises of the Officers' Club this evening, and to-morrow evening he will be tho guest of the Auckland Savage Club. Their Excellencies will attend the Girl Guide services to be held in the Town Hall on Sunday. Lady Alice Fergusson paid an unofficial visit yesterday morning to the St. Helens Hospital and to the Campbell crechp in Grey's Avenue.
