VIOLENT STOWAWAY.
DISCOVERY ON LARGS BAY, LONDON. May 7. John Henry, aged 26, a motor-driver of Southport, was fined £5 'ss at Hull, in default 28 days' imprisonment, for stowing away on board tho Largs Bay from Fremantle. Ho said that things were too hot for him owing to the Australian strikers throwing bricks and bottles. The purser found Henry when the vessel. had been three weeks at sea, occupying a cabin costing £43. He attempted to overpower the watchman and v nSSiinlled the attendant who took him i)l.eft,g„ j in, order to climb Overboard and escape at' Hull.
