MINISTERS' MOVEMENTS.
The Minister of Railways, the Hon. W. B. Taverner, is expected in Auckland by the express from Rotorua this afternoon. The Hon. G. <W. Forbes, Minister of Lands and Agriculture, arrived at Thames from Coromandel on Saturday and was tendered a complimentary dinner by local bodies. Yesterday he motored to Waihi. To-day Mr. Forbes will inspect areas near Waihi, which the Government has been requested to open for settlement, and will proceed to Paeroa' in the evening, where a banquet will be tendered him. The Hon. E. A. Ransom, Minister of Public Works, continued his tour of the West Coast on Saturday. He inspected various public works and received various deputations. He was accorded a civic reception at Westport in. the evening. Yesterday he inspected portion of the coastal road at Westporfc. ' To-day ho visits the Cascade coal bins in the Buller Gorge and proceeds to Reefton.
