BABY'S TRAGIC DEATH.
FIRE FROM LIGHTED PAINT.
MOTHER'S UNWITTING ACT. SYDNEY. May 16. A tragic affair is reported .from Deniliquin, a town 534 miles south-west of Sydney. Mrs. Charleston, in desperately throwing a pot of blazing paint through a window to save her own life unwittingly threw the liquid over her baby son, who was on a 1 verandah hidden from her sight. The child died in hospital. Mrs. Charleston was painting when a spark ignited the paint and set fire lo her clothes. She, however, was not badly burned.
