BURGLARS AT WORK.
CITY WAREHOUSE ENTERED,
SMALL SUM OF MONEY TAKEN*
Burglars broke into the warehouse of the Lawrence and Hanson Electrical Company, Limited, at the corner of Albert Street and Swanson Street/ during Wednesday night. • The burglary was not discovered until employees arrived at work yesterday morning. Entrance was gained by forcing the padlock off the front door. Apparently the thieves were in search of money and not goods, as a till under the counter had been opened and about £5 in small cash taken, while the stock as far as could be seen was not touched, although the building contained a great deal of valuable radio and electrical equipment of easily portable size. When they left the warehouse the intruders closed the front door again, and left everything in order.
