THE SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP.

IMPORTANT GAMES TO-MORROW

LEADING TEAM PLAYS MANUKAU. The matches to be played to-morrow afternoon in the Auckland Rugby Union's senior championship are likely to have an important bearing upon the ultimato result. Grammar Old Boys started of! the season with a brilliant victory over Ponsonby, but it lost its next two matches. The team has only to strike its best form to put up a great game against University in the cur-tain-raiser to be played on No. 1 ground at Eden Park. Play will commence at 1.15 p.m. The succeeding game - will bo between Manukau and Training College. The latter team is the only one that has not yet met defeat, and it will be interesting to see if Manukau can rise to the occasion. City and Ponsonby will meet on No. 2 ground and Marist and Oration on No. 3 ground.
