BUTTER-FAT PAYMENTS.

THE TE AWAMUTU COMPANY.

GREAT INCREASE IN OUTPUT. The To Awamutu Co-operative Dairy Co., Ltd., made 53 tons of butter in April, compared with 38 tons for the same month last year. The output for the 11 months to date is 743 tons, compared with 471 tons last year. The average butler grade for the month was 92.07.

The company is making a cash advance payment of Is 4|d per lb. butter-fat for finest quality cream supplied in April, and shareholders will be credited with an additional per lb. The amount of the cash payment is £6657, compared with £4599 for April, 1928, when the rate of advance was Is 4d. The total amount paid for the season to date is £97,124, compared with £57,586 last year. Messrs. G. Spinley and G. E. Churches retire from the board of directors, but are eligible for re-election.
