CONGESTED CITY AREA.
Sir,—l, understand that the city owns the vacant site at the junction of. High Street, Chancery Lane and Courthouse Lane, and would agree to a new building being erected thereon. J fay I suggest this space be not built upon, as there is a large amount of motor'and' pedestrian traffic at this junction, and a new building would greatly restrict tho vision. Moreover, it is important to have air space in this locality, owing to tluj tall buildings and narrow streets. Jt is suggested that, the owners of the present building adjoining be requested to properly surface the elevation fronting Courthouse Lane. Tall buildings and narrow streets accentuate the noise problem in this area. Cyril Mack ley.
