■ SERIES AT UNIVERSITY.
.. The Tuesday night, lectures at the Auckland University College, which wore successfully instituted last year, will be carried on this winter, commencing -fit the universily on June 11. Various aspects of the work of .Shakespeare arid his '"life and times will be dealt with in a symposium of nine or ten lectures, contributed- chiefly by university professors. The two courses of lectures on local body finance and on municipal government, which are being delivered by Professor H. Bolshaw, continue to attract wide interest, and are being attended by about SO each week. In addition to members of the general public representatives of local bodies and younger members of the staffs of local bodies are taking advantage of the courses., " '
