PUKEROA TENNIS CLUB.
An enjoyable dance was held by the members of.the Pukeroa Tennis Club in the Symondsville Studio last evening. Despite the inclement weather there was a good attendance and the dancing hall was tastefully decorated with streamers of maroon and eau-de-nil. The supper tables were gay with gold chrysanthemums and African marigolds, while overhead streamers of many colours were looped artistically. Among those present were:—Mrs. Gordon Hardy, who wore shell pink ring velvet; Mrs. Frank Brewin, embroidered black taffeta; Mrs. Trendall, vieux rose crepo do chine and black lace; Mrs. C. Hardley, black petalled taffeta; Mrs. G. Pearson, petunia satin; Mrs. E. Jones, eau de nil sequined frock; Miss It. Allen, black velvet; Miss A. Baster, pink beaded georgette; Miss R. Brewin, period frock of white brocaded georgette and tulle; Miss Balme, fox glove sequinned crepe de chine; Miss Hitchcock, peach taffeta; Miss Kathleen Hunt, rose taffeta; Miss Muriel Finch, apricot taffeta; Miss Eva Finch, apple green taffeta; Miss B. James, figured georgette; Miss E. Trayes, ivory georgette with silver shawl; Miss W. Trayes, gold sequinned georgette; Miss I. James, apricot taffeta; Miss Zolla Hamilton, powder blue crepe de chine; Miss P. McFarlane, white frilled tulle; Miss M. McFarlane, apple green frock with a flowered lace overdress; Miss E. Prideaux, peony embossed velvet; Miss S. Fowler, peacock blue crepe de chine and bronze lace; Miss L. Inipey, midnight blue georgette and taffeta ; Miss P. Bourne, flame satin; Miss G. Mills, orchid taffeta and beaded georgette; Miss Furnell, bluebell frilled taffeta: Miss Ivie Jennings, blue lame; Mrs. England, petalled frock of shaded pink georgette; Miss E. Finch, black chiffon.
