SUPERB SPORTING NUMBER. PUBLICATION OF ISSUE TO-DAY. The superb special issue of the Auckland Weekly News, in which a great feature is made of illustrating New Zealand's wonderful angling and game-hunt-ing, will be available to the public today. Fourteen pages of magnificent illustrations record the season's activities in a most striking and comprehensive manner. In the letterpress section is a fine series of articles describing the sport in its many phases.
In all, the number contains nearly 100 splendid pictures, and a fine- frontispiece of His. Excellency the Governor-General, Sir Charles Fergusson, fishing the Tongariro River, gives added interest to the section of the illustrations dealing with the world-famous rainbow trout of tho Taupo district. Other outstanding subjects include:—Big-game fish angling in the North; wapiti and mooso hunting in the South Island Sounds district; deerstalking; pheasant, wild swan and duck shooting; Atlantic salmon angling; wild pig and chamois hunting. Many extra copies have been ordered from all parts of the Dominion. Larger editions than usual are being printed, but the issue is certain "to be quickly sold out. All desiring to secure copies must therefore place their orders at once with the publishers or newsagents. The usual price, ninepence, is being charged.
