UNCONSCIOUS ON ROAD.
MISHAP TO MOTOR-CYCLIST* DISCOVERY NEAR WHAKATANE. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN* CORRESPONDED.] "WHAKATANE, Tuesday-. 'A young man, P. Sheriff, a resident of Otakiri, was found lying unconscious on the main road near Awakeri. Hp had been riding a motor-cycle and ifc is believed that the machine skidded, throwing him heavily on to the, gravelled road. Sheriff was taken to the Whakatane Hospital where he was found to be suffering from concussion and severe abrasions to the face. The patient has so far not been able to give a coherent account of the occurrance. It is considered his injuries are not dangerous.
