DEATH OF CRICKETER.
KNOWN IN NEW ZEALAND. S. Hargreave, »vho died in England early this year, will be! remembered by New Zealand cricketers of a generation ago as being a member of Ibo English team which loured the Dominion _in 1902-3 under the captaincy of P. F. Warner. lie was a slow-medium left-hander who kept an excellent length and varied hia pace well. lie was a very fine field, especially off his own bowling. Wargreave played for Warwickshire from 1899 to 1909, and but for a strain in 1907 his association with the county would have been longer.
