POLICE COURT NEWS.
"JOINED THE UNDESIRABLES" MAN LIVING BY CHARITY. A young man who had not been Jong in the Dominion, James Fallon, aged 20, labourer, pleaded guilty in the Police Court yesterday to being idle and disorderly. Sub-Inspoctor McCarthy said Fallon had worked his passage to New Zealand, being paid off tho ship at Napier. He had then come to Auckland, where ho had lived by charity. 110 had joined tho company of undesirables, with tho result that ho had become known to tho police. Accused was convicted by tho magistrate, Mr. F. K. Hunt, and ordered to come up for sontenco if called, upon ■within six months. On a charge of obtaining £6 by means of a valueless cheque, Leo. Samuel Carl Minifio, aged 61, salesman, camo up for sentence. Ho was also charged with a breach of tho terms of his release on probation. Stating ho had conferred with the probation officer, tho magistrate said accused's probation licence would be cancelled, and ho would bo sentenced to one month's imprisonment.
