JURY AWARDS DAMAGES.
MOTOR-CYCLIST INJURED. COLLISION WITH A CAR. Lev TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION'.] CHHISTCHUIICH, Tuesday. In the Supreme Court to-day, before Mr. Justice Adams and a jury, Allan Hunter, a traveller, proceeded against Harold Lightbaud, a leather merchant, for damages in respect of a collision between defendant's car and plaintiff's motor-cycle on March 13. Plaintiff alleged that Lighlband drove his car unskilfully and at an excessive speed. Five of Hunter's ribs were broken and he alleged that injuries to his head had affected his hearing, and that ho had been unable to work since the accident. He claimed £42 special damages and £SOO general damages. The defence was a denial of negligence, and an allegation that the accident was caused by Hunter's negligence Tho jury awarded plaintiff £42 special damages and £275 general damages.
