EPISODE IN BUS.
SEQUEL IN POLICE COURT. TWO YOUNG MEN PROSECUTED. [BY TELEGRAM. —OWN COHEESrOKnENT.] WAIHI, Tuesday. As the result of a scuffle in a passenger bus between Waihi and Paeroa on April 26, James Casley, aged 23, and Leo Meagher, aged 18, were charged before Mr. F. W. Platts, S.M., in tho Waihi Magistrate's Court fo-dny with having assaulted Reuben Leadbeater and Joseph [William Chandler,' two other passengers, nnd with having used obscene language. Casley was also charged with a, breach of liis prohibition order, to which ho pleaded guilty. Both accused, for' whom Mr. J. \V. Beeche appeared, denied tho other tbarges. After lengthy evidence fhe magistrate dismissed the charges of obscene languago and assault on Chandler, but found tho accused guilty of assaulting Leadbeater.
