VISIT TO AUCKLAND.
CIVIC RECEPTION ARRANGED,
The Prime Minister, Sir Joseph Ward, will on May 27 pay his first official visit to Auckland since the present Government came into office.
Advice of the visit was received yesterday by the Mayor, Mr. G. Baildon, who is arranging to tender the Prime Minister a civic welcome. In the evening Sir Joseph Wai'd will address a public meeting in the Town Hall. Sir Joseph Ward arrived in Duneclin yesterday morning from Christchurch. During the day he received deputations and in the evening was tendered a reception by southern branches of the United Party. To-day he leaves for Invercargill and will pass through Dunedin again on Saturday * on his return to Wellington.
