GOOD YEAR IN PROVINCE.

The Cambridge Go-operativo DairyCompany has paid ont for butter-fat supplied up to the end of April the sum of £232,00$ this season, against £197,000 for tho corresponding period last season, an increase of £34,900. For the April supply the company will advance £14,300 on the basis of Is 4d per lb. . butter-fat for both butter and cheese, against £13,900 for April last season, when tho rate was Is 3£d per lb', for butter-making and Is 5d per lb. for cheese. The company's supply last month showed an increase of 6 per cent, over that for April, 1928. NORTHERN W AIR OA RECORD. GREAT INCREASE IN OUTPUT. ![HY TELEGRAM. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] DARGAVILLE, Monday. ■ Tho pay-outs by the Northern Wairoa Co-operative Dairy Company for April and for the season to date show a considerable iricreaso over those of last season. The figures are:—Butter-fat supplied: April, < 1929, 259,0641b. 5 April, 1928, 235,3031b.; increase, 23,7601b. Payout: April,, 1929, at Is 5d per lb., £18,060 7s 9d; April, 1928, at Is 3d per lb., £14,730 19s sd; increase, £3329 8s 4d. Payout for season to date, £259,640 6s 9d ; season to April, 1927-28, £219,105 15s; increase, £40,534 lis 9d. It is estimated that when the final figures are made up at the end of May the payout will be in the vicinity of £280,000, and the output of butter just under 3000 tons, an easy record in' the history of the company's operations.

BAY OF PLENTY SUPPLIERS. OUTPUT AND RETURNS. The Bay of Plenty Co-operative Dairy Association will pay out to suppliers on May 20, £13,025, compared with £12,667 for the corresponding month last year. Total payment for this season, "from July to April 50, has been £195,551. For the same period last year it was £151,993. There is thus an increase of £43,558. The butter manufactured this season amounted to 1415 tons, and for the corresponding period last year 1209.

OPERATIONS AT AWANTJI. EXCELLENT PROGRESS MADE. At its Awanui factory last month the Kaitaia Dairy Company made 65 tons 14cwt. of butter, bringing the season's total to 898 tons 18cwt., an advance of 173 tons 16cwt. on the previous season's output. The total payout for the present season "has been £97,798, against £77,081. 'With this month's cheques suppliers 5 also received a further payment of £6438.
