NEW SOUTH WALES FORCE. AMENDING LEGISLATION. SYDNEY, May 10. The Chief Secretary, Mr. F. A. Chaffev, says greater powers for the police in dealing with gang warfare will bo considered speedily by the New South Wales Cabinet. " I am of opinion that increased powers are needed by the police in certain cases, and legislation is being prepared to givo them tho necessary assistance.
