THREE CANDIDATES EQUAL.
ONE SEAT ON COUNTY COUNCIL.
[BiT TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] KAWHIA, Thursday. An equal number of votes were polled by tho three candidates w*ho contested the election for a representative of the Oparau Riding on tho Kawliia County Council. Tho candidates were Messrs. T. B. Sandilands, former member, R. T. Uavies and S. G. Wright. Unless the official count discloses an error it will be necessary for the matter to be decided by tho drawing of lots.
