TOTAL OF £6200 INVOLVED.
BOTH PROPOSALS CARRIED.
Loan proposals for £4300 and £I9OO were carried at Devonport yesterday. The larger sum is. for payment of compensation to property owners in connection with the widening of Victoria Road and the extension of the Cheltenham Beach reserve. The smaller loan is for the completion of ' the Vatfxhall sea wall. A feature of the polling was the largo proportion, of informal votes. At ono booth two votes in every five were informal.
