CRIMES IN CANADA.
MURDERS AND SUICIDES.
Australian and N.Z. Press Association. VANCOUVER, April 30. Two shocking cases of murder and suicide are reported. At Vancouver yesterday Frank Marteri shot Maggie la Fae, aged 24, a champion dancor, because she had refused to leavo her husband and accompany her murderer on a dancing tour. Tho woman had spent tho night in a room,at a hotel pleading with Marteri. After he had killed her ho shot himself dead.
In the other case, at Fort William, all tho membors of a> family except the mother were killed by Michael Walchen. Lie choked his three children, Charles, aged seven Francis, aged five, and Norman, aged two. Latei the man's body was found on tho railway line. Tho couple had been separated. A six-page letter was left by Walchen which showed his fiendish cruelty.
