ELECTION SCRUTINY.
COMPLAINT FROM COUNTRY. A protest against the votes having been counted by th® scrutineers in a dif ferent room from that in which the election was held was received by the Auckland Education Board yesterday from a householder of Knukapakapa, who attended th» school committee election there. "Apparently he wants the scrutineers scrutinised," remarked Mr. H. S. W. King, while other members expressed surprise at exception being taken to a custom which has always prevailed at such polls.
