OBITUARY.
VISCOUNT YOUNGER. Australian Prcsti Association—United Service LONDON. April 29. The death has occurred of Viscount Younger of Leckio. He had a heart attack nt a theatre in the West End, and died while being taken to a hospital.
Viscount Younger was born in 1851 at Alloa, Scotland,: and was head of a brewing firm. lie was Conservative member for Ayr iiurghb, 1906-22. Ho was created a baronet in 1911, and ;i viscount in 1923. He was chairman of the Conservative Party from 1916 1o 1923, and its treasure/ since then. He had much to do with the break up of Mr. Lloyd Georges Coalition Government in 1921. He is succeedci by his only son, Lieuten-ant-Colonel James Younger. MR. G. G. HALDANE. MELBOURNE. April 30. The sudden death has occurred of Mr. G. G. Ilaldane, chief finance inspector of the.
