WOMAN FOUND GUILTY.
CHARGE OF MANSLAUGHTER. DEATH OF ELDERLY MAN. (Received April 30, 10.45 ii.m.) MELBOURNE. April 30. Annie Hillard was convicted of the manslaughter of David Wilson, aged 65, whoso housekeeper she had been, afc Walhalla on March 13, and was sentenced to imprisonment for 10 years. Alfred Wilson, the deceased man's son, was acquitted and discharged.
The deceased man, David Wilson, was found shot dead in his house at Walhalla, and tho police charged the son with murder. It was later repoited that the deceased man's housekeeper, Annie Hillard, aged 38, had signed a confession in • which she said she shot Wilson, and that his son agreed to take the bhame. She planned with tho son to kill iiis father, with whom she was living, in order that she might marry the son. It was arranged to causo an argument with tiro father, but he declined to become argumentative. Miss Hillard then called him up a. dark passage and shot him dead with the son's gun.
