MEN'S COUNTER-DEMANDS.
LONG FIGHT. ANTICIPATED. SYDNEY. April 30. The coalminers' counter-proposals were considered ■ to-day by the New South Wale;! Cabinet. The men fear they will be rejected, ir> which case a long fight is anticipated. Tl'io various gasworks have ample supplier of coal and the railway authorities can secure all the coal they require from their own mine and from non-associated workings.
