The crack two-year-cld lias done well since he made his winning debut,at Cheviot, and he is training on well lor his engagement in the Sapling Stakes at Ashburton June. Jackie Audubon is gradually coming back to form. He is a very difficult pacer to get to his best, but J. J. Kennerley seems to thoroughly understand him, 1 and now that he is back again with the Addington trainer he should race well. Nourmabal is in steady work again, and although looking somewhat on the big aide she is trotting in her best style. In th« past she has not been- partial to a two mile journey, but she is staying better with age. a ■ Duco is being worked at Addington, and should not take long to get into - form. He is a useful sort, and should win a race. Connie Audubon is none the worse for her gallop in the mile and a-half, trotter's race at Ashburton, where hir driver' waa , thrown out, and the trotter galloped througii the finishing field. She is remaining fairly > sound. . D. Kerr is now training Great Audo. The pacer has a good turn of speed, but does not reproduce his beat with the colours up, St. Maura is going on the right way in her training, and should be at her best again before the end of the season. She ib under F. G. Holmes' charge at Adding* ton. J. Deyell has his pair of trotters. Nelson's Pride and Ala, in steady work and both horses are doing well. Nelson Boy, who has raced \-ery consistently this season without much luck, continues to keep in his best form in training work. Locanda Boy has. done a lot of solid work during the last few months, and is in his best form.
