COROMANDEL COUNTY.
CANDIDATES FOR COUNCIL. Nominations for membership of the Coromandel County Council at the election on Wednesday, May 8, are as follows: —Coromandel Riding (three required) : Messrs. 11. Campbell, W. C. Denize, M. Gorrie, P. S. JR. Home, C. W. Hovell, H. W. Howell, S. James, E. McLoughliii. Colville Riding (two required): Messrs. A. J. Denize, C. Gea.rt, H. T. Johnston. Whitianga Riding (one required): Messrs W. Leo and N. A. Wells. Mr. H. McM. Bull was returned unopposed for the Whangapoua Riding, Mr. C. 11. M. Simpson for the Kuaotunu Riding and Mr. J. Hamilton for the Whenuakite Riding. At the triennial election of eight members for tho Coromandel Hospital Board there will be nine candidates, including two women, Mrs. Elizabeth Hovell and Mrs. Alma WoodhCuse,
