moved up fast. Princess Snow was first round the bend from Look Out, Tuku and Parfait Amour. Over tho Inst furlong Liona came fast on the outside and won by a neck from Little Toy, who also came homo well. Pompeius was two lengths away third and Princess Snow fourth. Next came Parfait Amour and Grand Arch. Parfait Amour and Pompeius v. ere Inst to begin and Princess Snow was not well ridden.

Lo Choucas failed lo handle the going. There was good wagering 011 tho Flying Handicap, with most support for Kingti c Id. A ware 10 and Lucy Rose, Kingtield. Billikins and Ruffles were first- to begin and after going a couple of furlongs Billikins forged ahead. Then Takutama ran up fast and was the leader into the straight from Awareie, Billikins, Kingtield and Lady Quex. Once in line for the post. Ladv Qucx cnmp.fnst on tho outside and won by a length and a-lialf from Takutaina, who heat Lucy Rose by half a length. Kingtield was fourth, wit.li Whaka King and Awarere next. Lttdy Quex won in fine style. Takutanta was a big outsider and returned a •substantial dividend. Lucy Hose was not favoured in the running and wns closer at the finish than at any other stage. Valuation and Leilrim were best backed for the To Ruic Hack Handicap. Leilrim led early and was first into the straight fr.im Hnvilaiid, (V.illiant Light and Prince of Orange. Brilliant Light had charge inside the distance, but Archilccii c?me fast on the outside and beat him by a head. Lei trim was half a length away third and Prince of Orange fourth. Next to finish were Some Lady and Orchus.
