CRIMINAL CHARGES.
SESSIONS OPEN NEXT WEEK. THE CASES FOR TRIAL. The' next sessions pi the Supreme Court in Auckland to deal with criminal cases will commence on May 7. The list to date is somewhat lighter than usual, .ahhotigh it includes a fair proportion of sexual cases. The following accused will appear to answer tlie charges as stated below:— /
Hi'ra Eruera, carnal knowledge. Robert White Lanier, assault, causing actual bodily harm.
Roy Gordon Capel and William Gibfion, rape. Alexander Talon, ndecont assault on a female. Edward Howell, indecent assault on a fema}e.
Edward Russell Everett, assault with intention to commit rape. Peter Dowie, indecent assault on a girl under 16. d' Hector Robert Sommerville, negligent driving, causing death. John Elliott, negligent driving, causing death. Bertram A. O'Connor, assault, cruising bodily, harm, obscene language and indecent assault on a female.
Oliver Godfrey, negligent driving, causing death.
