INCLUSION ON "TICKET." AUTHORITY NOT OBTAINED. • \ . The names of a number of independent candidates for the Auckland City Council were included in the " ticket " issued by, the United Ratepayers' Association, without their consent being obtained. The six candidates involved, Messrs, C. J. Lovegrove, W. T. Smith, J. H, Ansell, D. C. Fraser, I. C>. Gray, and B. M. Irvine, say they are not supporting the policy of the committee responsible for the ticket, and they arc maintaining their independence also with regard to the mayoral campaign.
