FANCY-DRESS DANCE.
A very successful concert and fancy dress dance for the children of the To Rau-a-moa district was held on Wednesday evening in the local hall. Among dancers in fancy dress were: —Frank Bell, who represented a cowboy; George Bell, Robin Hood; Alec Heron, clown; Douglas McOnie, court page; Florence Heron, fairv princess; Irma Easy, Stars and Stripes; Emily Heron, Spanish lady; Jean Carnachan, patchwork; Lois Everiss, rose; Kate Carnachan, Indian Squaw; Jean McOnie, primrose; Lydia Dassler, Dutch girl; Bella Heron, flower girl; Jean Heron, fruit salad; Annie Tliroll; Dutch girl; Hazel Everiss, ox-eye daisy; Mary Throll, evening starj Marjorie Burns, poppy; John Parkinson, Santa Claus; Noreen Hall, Stephen's Ink; Harold Dassler, sailor; Willie McOnie, cowboy: Harold McOnie, innkeeper; Arthur Everiss, sailor; Leonard McOnie, Red Indian. The proceeds of the function are to bo used to purchase books as the nucleus of a school library.
