FIRE BRIGADE AWARDS.
PRESENTATION AT TE KUITI, ; [by telegram.—o\yy correspondent.! TE KUITI, Sunday. The Te Kurti Fire Brigade, entertained its honorary members at a smoke concert last week, when the Mayor, Mr. W. J. Broadfoot, M.P., presided over a larjra gathering. During the evening tho following awards were presented:—Fireman Bremner, medal for five years' service; Fireman Ongley, three years' service certificate ; Deputy Higgins, bar for seven years' service; Fireman Swift, bar for 11 years' service; Secretary Corlett, bar for nine years' service; Fireman Stanley, bar for seven years' service.
