CROQUT CLUB'S AFTERNOON
The members of the Devonport Croquet Club gave an enjoyable afternoon at their lawns on Friday. Progressive croquet was played, the prizes being won by Mrs. Newell and Mrs. Palairet, A grade; Mrs. Lidford and Mrs. Foster, B grade. The consolation prize was won by Mrs. Prime. Afternoou tea was served i:i the clubhouse, where the tables were bright with pink and white flowers. The president, Sirs. Newell, during afternoon tea, thanked Mrs. Powley for the prizes which she had given for the afternoon's competition. Among those present were:—Mrs. Newell, Mrs. Powley, Sirs Prime, sen., Mrs. Newbegin, Mrs. Harvey, Mrs. R. Duder, Mrs. Pacey, Mrs. Taile, Mrs. Swan, Mrs. Bailey, Mrs. Hughes, Mrs. Spicer, Mrs. Lidford, Mrs. Edwards, Mrs. Angove, Mrs. Foster, Miss M Duder, Hiss G. Duder, Miss Burton, Miss Boyd.
