NO HOMEWORK.
SUCCESS AT MOUNT EDEN.
Reference to the introduction of the " no home-work plan " at tho Mount Eden School is made in tho annual report of tho committee to bo presented at tho mooting of householders this evening. Tho report states" Tho whole work is now dono under tho supervision of teachers, who have been brought into closor contact with their scholars and have been able to givo more individual attention to their needs. Tho teachers are wholeheartedly in favour Of the system, which they report has resulted in a higher standard of efficiency and happioi conditions of school life. A brief questionnaire was submitted to tho parents asking if the system had any beneficial effocts on the homo life of the childron. Over 150 replies were received, of which all but 14 were decidedly favourable, many parents stating that 'their children had greatly benefited by tho change."
