LIQUOR AFTER HOURS.
HOTEL LICENSEE FINED.
OFFENCE AT OHAUPO.

For selling liquor after hours the licensee of the Ohaupo Hotel, Stephen Tapp, was yesterday fined £5 and costs in the To Awamutu Police Court.
Four men who purchased a keg of beer were each fined £1 and costs.
The magistrate, Mr. Wyvern Wilson, said that had it been an ordinary case of selling liquor after hours a fine of £3 would have been imposed, but the licensee, when interrogated by the police, preferred to say nothing. Now ho pleaded guilty. It was not a first offence.
