OVERSEAS ADVERTISING. [r.V TELEGRAPH. —OWN fOItHEBI'ONDENT. ] DUNEDIN. Friday. A deputation from the Chamber of Commerce, which waited on the Hon, W. J>. Taverner yesterday, brought forward a suggestion (hat more might ho done by the Government Publicity Department in the way of overseas advertising. 'J lie Minister said lie would have the matter looked into. Tho Publicity Department was receiving a good deal of attention at present, but unlH the Minister of Finance announced what amount of money would be available for the new year it was not possible to finalise the programme in any way. He thought that if reasonable financial provision was available this year the department would have a veiy interesting programme to place before tho public presently. The amount spent last year was only £30,000, wnich was very small for a publicity campaign.
