CLOCK FOR POST OFFICE.
PROPOSAL AT WHANGAREI.

[BY TELEGUArU.—OWN CORRESPOMPENT. 1 WHANG AI? EI, Friday. A request for financial help from the Government in providing a chiming clock for the Whangarei post office tower was made to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Hon. P. A. de la Perrelle, yosterday. It was stated that it was proposed to raise a sum locally for the cost of the clock, Mr, de la- Perrelle promised to place the matter before the Government for consideration.
