MOTORING ACCIDENTS.
FATALITY AT REMUERA.
LITTLE CHILD KILLED.
WOMAN STRUCK BY A CAR.
CONDITION REPORTED SERIOUS. Knocked down by a motor-ear in front of her home, Diana Victoria Monzies, aged about four years, tho daughter of Mr. A. G. Menzios, of 16, Lucerne Road, llemuera, was killed almost outright at about four o'clock yesterday afternoon. Tho child left the footpath in front of tho car, which was driven, by Mr. F. C. B. Power, of Burwood Crescent, Remuera, and was knocked aside. Tho driver of the car returned, and Dr. J. IL H. Wood, who lives nearby, was immediately called, but tho child was already dead. As tho result of being knocked down by a motor-car on tho Mount Eden Road, near Hillside Crescent, at about 4.30 last evening. Mrs. D. H. Lovelock, aged 39, of 144, Jervois Road, Heme Bay, sustained a fractured skull. She was taken to thp Auckland Hospital by the St. John Ambulance, and was .ill a serious condition early this morning.
