THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE.

FAIR BUSINESS YESTERDAY. Fair business was done on tho Auckland Stock 'Exchange yesterday. The market for Government securities was quioter. Inscribed Stocks, 1933 , 5i per cent,, sold 5s dearer at £lOl ss, and tho 1936 SJ, petcent. issue changed hands, at £lOl 10s, tho current price. : , ; In banks Australasias were twice done at £l4 16s 6d, an advance of 2s 6d. In insurance Nationals cased fivepence, with a sale at 16s sd. Ja timber Kauris were a shade easier, and sold twice at 17s Bd, more being sought at the price, sellers twopence higher. In the miscellaneous section Milne and Cboyce debenture stocks made a currentprice snlo at 265. Sanfords, ordinary, were dono at 18s Od, and the preference issue at 20s 3d, both being current rates. New Zealand Farmers' fertilisers rose threo pence, changing hands at 21s 9d, and New Zealand Rcfrigeratings had sale at 15s 6d, compared with 18s lid at the last sale last October. In mining Alburnias again sold at Is lOd. YESTERDAY'S SALES. Tho stock, which was issued at par, has a currency of 10 years, tho date of maturity being July 15, 1939, and bears 5£ per cent, interest. Tho proceeds are required by the State Governments for public works and to meet maturing securities.
