A FRIEND. Winter is friendly to those who take a pride in their personal appearance. Met properly, the sharp' days of winter will bring to your cheeks a bloom that artificial means can never equal. Ilere are a few tips: Jump smartly from bed whenever you awaken. • Spend five minutes in stretching and bending exercises. Then, despite what has been said to Ihe contrary, wash in cold water, it will benefit your complexion. Breakfast should consist of heat-pro-ducing foods. Beyond a heavier coat, wear no extra clot lies. If you have not too far to go to your office walk it. Should you feci cold, walk more quickly than, usual. In other words, bo brisk and cheeriul in all you do, and winter will pro\c a friend instead of an enemy.
