CHILD FANCIES.
When Hazel-branch and Willow-wand Are gold and silver 'neath tho blue. I long to hear the catkins purr, Tho willow pussies mew.
And when the crab-treo flushes pink, Because a. blackbird all day long Sings in her boughs, I long to know Tho meaning of his song.
I long to hear the gentlo moon Hush all tho lily tlowers to rest, And leave behind a thought of gold Within each snowy breast. —Sent by Edna Stark Motumaoho,
