RAILWAY FACILITIES.
AN ADJUSTMENT WANTED

At a meeting of the 'lauranga Haiboui Board a letter was received from the Minister of Railways acknowledging receipt of a resolution urging that a" alteration be made to the existing time-table of the East Coast Main Trunk line, so as to enable an early morning train from Taneatua to connect with the morning express from Tauranga to Auckland. The Minister promised to have the matter looked into.
The secretary oi the Ivatikati Domain Board wrote asking aid with a view to preventing the taking of mussels for commercial purposes from tho bed opposite Ivatikati Domain. It was decided to ask for the advice and co-operation of the Minister of Marino in conserving the shellfish bed. It was decided to establish fire breaks in the plantations at Matakana Island.
