MINISTER FAREWELLED.
GATHERING AT PUKEKOHE.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] PUKEKOHE, Friday.
About 300 people from all parts of tha Pnkekohe and neighbouring districts assembled at the Oddfellows' Hall, Fukckobe, last evening to farewell the Rev. S. Nixon and family, who are removing next week to Pukerau, Southland, where Mr. Nixon will J>e Presbyterian minister for the district, following 19 years' ministry in a similar capacity at Pnkekohe. Mr. K. Allan, who presided, presented Mr. and Sirs. Nixon with a cheque as a token of the people's esteem and offered their best wishes for the future. Miss Rogers, Mrs. Nixon's sister, was presented with an electric radiator. Other speakers also referred to the service given by Mr. and Mrs. Nixon and Miss Roarers in tlio work of the church at Pukekohe.
